Hey Mom!

We did so much stuff last P-day! I sent them all pretty late. We went into the city since it was Elder Bloomfield's last p-day we did a lot of stuff. It was so great but sad also. But this past week was sad but super awesome. (Upon asking about the Valentine Day box again) Um just whatever you feel would be good! Nothing can ever come to mind.

Yeah! I love it here. I figured I'd get transferred. It was sad but now we are like up in the mountains which I love. So we are a district of six. Elder Kelly is awesome! So he is actually 24. Has a long background and he is actually a professional singer. He would travel on cruise ships doing it and lots of stuff. He is from Seattle and has a bunch of brothers. We have a senior couple the Wilsons! It's just like having Grandparents in the mission. So on P-days we come to their place and she makes us pancakes and we have Sunday dinners here as well. Nicest people from Utah. They don't get transferred. They stay here the whole mission. So we have a great district but we are the only Spanish ones. There is a tonnnnn of Hispanics here. They are all Dominican literally. We are a branch here. We have the English and a Spanish group that grew from about 5 from six months ago to now about 40 strong. We are teaching A TON. We have a car and do walk sometimes. There is also about a foot of snow on the ground and it is much colder here cause we are higher up. I think I might look for boots maybe. So we will see.  But yeah so Hazelton is great. I'm in the same Zone as Jake! He is also a district leader now and we have a picture. I'll be seeing him again this Thursday at Zone Training. It was so awesome to get to catch up and everything. So we are excited. But it still was sad to leave Philly. Roy actually wanted one of my name tags to keep so I gave him that and I'll be in contact with them. I'm just waiting on information for the whole facebook stuff to set it up. The funniest thing is now Elder Milligan is companions with Elder Seeley! They freaked out haha.

Being district leader is going good. I have to plan district meeting every Thursday and I feel like my first one went alright so that's good. Just have a little more responsibility.

Yeah we sing our mission song there and it's awesome. President and Sister Anderson are truly the best.

I can't believe by the time I'm back that it will be time for Colton to head on his mission. I know he misses Ryan. I bet Ryan is doing great out there in Germany. I can't wait to share all of our stories. Poor Jessey! (I told him about Jessey in the water above his knees in his good pants)  Haha his mission is crazy out there. Goodness.

Today was also my 7 month mark like gosh it flies. It is honestly a short time.

I enjoy those. Such good quotes. (I send him quotes from our church leaders each week or scriptures.) It is so tough with everything in the world honestly and I can just see that here and see how hard it is for people. The temptation of so many different things. But we have to learn to overcome it. We have to do things and not give ourselves excuses because we can give a million of them of why we can't do this or stop this. Or we can just set our mind to it and do it.

I'm just trying to do the best I can and I feel now it is a little bit easier because I can communicate much better with my Spanish now and understand so I just feel I need to open my mouth more. Like we were walking last night for example and we passed this couple and something told me turn back and right as I did the guy also turned around so I got their attention. We talked and he knew who we were and just said he does not have too much time and stuff but we shared a little tiny message and gave him a card. As long as we give them the chance to accept it. I'm just excited to continue on. Well I love you mom and I will talk to ya soon! If you have any questions about something here just ask me!

Love,
Elder McArthur
Yup (he's getting transferred)! So I will find out where tomorrow. I also got called as a district leader so that should be interesting for me! This past week was alright. Slow and everyone was getting sick. I got a stomach bug pretty bad but just for a day. Progressing ones are eh. We talked to a ton of people this week. Doing a lot of finding and so hopefully we will have some good potentials. I'm actually going to say bye to A and R tonight, and we saw A last night but didn't have time to talk. We went on one more exchange and I came with Elder Hopkin. I did have a good experience though this week. So I have read in my patriarchal blessing that it says I have the gift of healing. So I gave one to our second counselor when we went to eat with them on Monday and he came up to me the next day and said right after it he felt much better so I thought that was really cool beause we have given lots of blessing here. Also I got a sweet bag from a less active who now is becoming active. It's from Guatamala. But it was a pretty slow week other than that.

We did not get hit really at all. We got some snow but now=t that much. I think we might be getting some more soon. It's been pretty cool but not terrible. I heard last year was so much worse. I'm staying warm just fine and the heaters are fine now. Also all that mold is gone.

(Upon asking him what he would like in his Valentine box) Maybe some more cookies! Stuff like that. I normally always enjoy what you guys send.

I'll be getting one (Facebook page) this week actually and idk if I'll be able to have you probably. I'll find out all the rules with it. I think I can have my friends though.

I started reading again in the Book of Mormon so I'm back in 1 Nephi. I want to read it as many times as I can. Also I just started more back in the Bible since I have finished the Book of Mormon. It's going really well. I'm studying a lot of different things though. Learning more about Joseph Smith and things like that. It's very interesting.

Oh my goodness. Maybe I'll get to see him (Elder Weisler, aka Jake) tomorrow! That's been awesome. But we will see. I'm sure he is doing great. It's hard to believe his training is now done as well. Speaking of training Elder Park is going to be training! He only has three transfers left. We are actually in the car driving with a family to take Elder Bloomfield to the mission office. Pretty sad.

It is crazy though of some of the things that I hear from missionaries and how disobedient they were. It's just interesting that they are out here if they are going to be that way. I know all of us can do a little better with it for sure though. No matter who you are. You don't wanna be at the end of your mission and then be having regrets. I just want to do the best I can while I'm out and hope I can continue to get better at Spanish so I can help teach better. I know the Lord will bless me if I ask and am obedient. I know that for sure. Just the things I have seen on my mission and everything I know the church is true. No matter how much someone tells me it's not or bashes. I know it.

Well I love you very much mom! Hard to believe it has been about 7 months now. Too fast! But I'll talk to ya soon again and have plenty of pictures to send either today or next week. Talk to ya soon mom!

Love,
Elder McArthur
