Hey mom! Wow that is crazy, it has gone by really fast. Every day just flies. It was a really good week actually. Lots of success. Found like two other members but we don't have their records! It's so weird but awesome cause we are really trying to just bring them all back.  Just finding them out of no where. Everyone is coming along well. No one still really specifically but hopefully soon. We did have 15 lessons which is a good week but we could do better. We should get there (to 20 lessons) again soon.  This week was great. Oh! Also, I did get to confirm O yesterday which was super awesome. He is doing good and going to be awesome in the branch. Things are still going well here for sure but wow transfers are coming up fast again. We will see if I stay or go! We had interviews with President which were great. It's always just good to have a one on one with him and Sister Anderson as well. They are so awesome. Could not have asked for a better mission president. Cause we have the best. Good week. Just hot! So hot. We just got back from a BBQ with s member for Memorial Day which was super nice actually. Cooked some chicken, sausage, corn, all that stuff. He is from Ecuador and his wife is Dominican. Super awesome family. I think that is about it hah.

There is still so much more to practice on. I have a really Dominican accent apparently haha.

It was a super great stake conference and we are just doing lots of super good changes in the stake. The leadership here is awesome. It's a great stake honestly. They also talked about the use of phones in sacrament meeting. How we just need to really put it all away and especially the younger ones and how it'll just be lots better for them and bring the spirit in more.

They (Elder and Sister DeSpain) are great honestly. They are just trying to get settled in. The branch loves them and they already have callings.

That is hilarious oh my! (I was sharing Christopher stories with him as Christopher is getting ready to be baptized next week.)   Haha I bet the Sister Missionaries were cracking up. Sounds like it'll be fun. I always loved going to those. That's been fun teaching him all that. Hopefully he doesn't go diving in the font!

Yeah that's all I've been hearing is how much it has rained. It hasn't really rained a whole lot up here honestly. Just been hot and kind of cloudy but not a lot of rain. Blake emailed me and was telling me. Well hopefully it will slow down a little.

Well I hope everything is still going well out there. Sounds like it. Well, besides the rain. But I'll definitely do so. Well I love you mom and talk to ya again real soon!

Hey Mom! I can't believe how fast it did go by actually. Haha I hope my Spanish has gotten better! But I still have so much to work on. I have worked hard on my accent. We have had some awesome past few weeks! We have found some pretty solid people it seems like but we will see how they progress honestly. No specific names to give out. But everything is going real good. We have 15 lessons this past week and we are trying to get up to 20 again. G is doing ok. Still in the hospital so we will just keep in contact with her and see how it all goes. Nothing super crazy happened this week. We have been finding lots of random less active members who have like just moved here so we are trying to get them all back. It does say in my Patriarchal blessing I will help less actives come back. I have seen a lot of that actually. So I think that is cool. It was super good so see and talk to everything honestly but it is always hard hanging up hah. But everything has been going good honestly! We had an awesome stake conference. They talked a lot about God and Christ and how sometimes we forget to put the main focus as well on God. When we pray how we really need to be sincere and how lots of time we just say "in the name of Jesus Christ amen" super fast and don't slow down.

That would be awesome honestly to go up here cause also the Restoration site will be done as well so we can see all of that and everyone here. We will see!

Time flies. Next transfer is when I hit my year mark. Wow. Too quick!

Thanks for the quotes every week cause I do use them. Well we are running out of time cause we have some stuff to do but it was so good to get to see everything and tell them all I love them! Love you mom and talk to ya soon again! Oh I have some great pictures!

May 10, 2015

No e-mail this week, but this was so much better!!!!  Skyping for Mother's Day!!

Well I am very excited to be able to see everyone again. I feel like I literally just skyped home though like wow. Well this week was pretty good! We actually had a lot more appointments cancel on us than we thought but it still ended up well. We ended up finding more investigators and set 3 with a date! We will see what happens though cause they dropped the appointment yesterday. However, we have just been finding and talking to a bunch of people. We actually might go and Skype in a members home which would be awesome so you could meet them. But they do not speak a whole lot of English. We had a great family home evening as well this week which was awesome.

Elder Wasden is doing great. His Spanish is slowly coming along. It is hard to believe his training will be over after this one and after next transfer I will hit a year. G is doing great. The poor lady. She is 96 years old and kind of sick but she still came down to have a lesson and wants to come to church. We will be trying to set her with a baptismal date hopefully soon for sure. Everything is going well here. Still finding and teaching lots but just hope we can really get another firm for a baptism again. That is basically what is going on right now.

Prayer is so powerful and I have definitely seen that.

Well I love you mom and I'll see ya next Sunday! Talk to ya soon!

This was a great week. President challenged us to do 1 hour of finding each day whether that
is street contacting or knocking door. So we did and found even more people to teach.
Some seem a lot more solid than others but we are working hard to continue to get more. We
should be having another baptism pretty soon I would say. We are working with this lady names
G. Sweetest Dominican lady ever. She is just home all day and does not have hardly
any company. We asked when we can come visit her again and she said her door is always open to
us and whenever we want because she said her job is go upstairs and just sit there cause she
has nothing to do. She loves the church and is coming this next Sunday. So we are
planning to set her with one. Also found these people the other day, a family, who said that we
can count 100% on them that they will be there for our first appointment. Haha so I'm super
excited. This area is amazing and there are so many people ready to hear the Gospel.

I saw Elder Newbold again cause they had a baptism with us in Scranton. He has had 2 baptisms
in 1 transfer there. That's crazy! Ha and we also had a special Stake Conference. It was
broadcasted and we heard from someone of the 70 and one lady. I can't remember the
name and the Elder Anderson from the twelve and Elder Hales. It was super good and just talking
about things of what we can do to strengthen our families and how people can change no matter
what background they come from. They talked about some conversion stories and it was amazing.
One was a Muslim but converted and his story was crazy. Also got to see Elder Weisler. He just
got called to be a Zone Leader! For how young he is in the mission that it crazy. So I got to
talk to him again. Elder Kelly will be leaving though. He is so sad but knows it is part of the
mission.

I can't believe this will be my second time skyping. That is weird! Gosh it all goes by so fast
but I'm just trying to take advantage of every day.

So that is how everything here in Hazleton is going!

Elder McArthur
