Pictures from the last 2 weeks

Wow this week went by super fast actually and p-day is the best! My spanish is actually coming along pretty well. I can pray, bare my testimony, and I have memorized this missionary purpose and almost all of D&C 4 which is pretty great. This is all in spanish and I think that my favorite scripture would have to be Alma 7:11. No talk sunday but it was hilarious so 6 people speak and after they were done we were happy cause we were like alright we survived one more week of not talking and as soon as we did that the guy was like alright well looks like we have time for one more talk and he said and the last speaker will be Elder Hillstead! We were dying and he was seriously sweating from being so nervous and everything but it was sooooo funny. It ended up being a good talk. Our topic for next sunday is Joseph Smith. And it has not at all. We are both still in the bathroom constantly but it is alright cause we have this one bathroom that no one goes to so we just go use that. The hermanas(sisters) here are great missionaries that is for sure. I have gotten a bunch of emails and it has just been great to hear from everyone that is for sure. You can always email me so pictures! I would like the one of all of us before we left if you could also cause everyone is wanting to see pictures. I am just excited to get to Philly! It is really cool and great down here but I am ready to get there and get things going with real investigators. We have just been practicing a lot with some fake ones but they totally act very real like you would not even know so it just gets me excited to see how it is going to be when we do teach a real one. It has been exciting times down here and i know this is where i am supposed to be. It was sad actually because the other day President Pratt who is the MTC president had to come to our house the other night because one of the missionaries had to go home cause he said there was some things he did not take care of before he left. It was sad because he was crying and so two elders gave him a blessing. He said he does not know if he will come back out or not but hopefully he will. Hey Mom! Wow yeah my first week went by kinda slowish but it got over and i am so happy. It has been great being here and staying super busy that is for sure. Mi espanol es bueno. It means its good of course but it is pretty tough but i have been using it a lot to talk to all of the people that work here and everything. Sounds like a great sunday there. Ours was great and we all have to have a talk prepared each week in case we have to speak. we never know who is speaking until sacrament meeting and it has to be in spanish! My district and great and my companion is Elder Hillstead and he is awesome. He is kind of like blake and he it from Utah. One of his friends is in the same house as us and that is elder wrigley and he is by far one of the funniest guys i have met. The food has kind of messed with my stomach a lot but it is good and oh yeah i hate that flower drink! No bueno at all. But the other drinks are ok, I hope sophie gets to go out soon! That will be exciting going to all of those talks and it has just been so weird not being able to see everyone but i am enjoying it so much down here that is for sure.  I have recieved a bunch of emails and it is so exciting to read what everyone has to say for sure. Oh and we do hear like random cannons and gun shots but we are like behind a big fence and everything. Outside of the MTC is just a little scary but the mountains are cool. It rains at about 5:30 everyday but it feels great. It has been a wonderful time down here and i will continue to keep yall undated on everything that is for sure. oh and my companion is to the left of me. that is all the guys in our district and they are great. i do not have the address but i will get it and thank you for the donuts! they were very appreciated but me and everyone. Well I love and miss you guys and i will be writing every week for sure! Love you mom!

Safe and Sound at the CCM

I am here! it still feels like I am just gone for a little bit and that I will be coming home soon but I know it will be a bit.  It has been a real eye opening experience being in Mexico City and seeing all of the houses just stacked and it is just so run down here.  The drive was very interesting and rough.  It is basically whoever has the bigger car goes first.  I have already met a few guys but one who i have seemed to click with so we ate dinner together and everything.  The food is not too bad actually but I had this one juice that tasted like flowers which was NASTY!  It was not a bad flight here and it went by quick also which was good but we were at the airport standing foreverrrrr.  But then we finally got here so I could eat cause I did not think about getting anything at the airport or anything.  Oh and there is a tiny hole in the pants I was wearing today which I do not know how that happened but it will be ok.  If it gets worse I will let you guys know.  I miss and love you guys very much and it was really hard leaving but there was a huge group of us which made it nice.  I am very excited to be here already and I can tell it will be a great mission and especially when I get out of here and get to philly.  Well I will talk to you all soon and I love you all again!!
